Notes

Mrs. Charlotte Taylor Alexander, 77, of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away suddenly on September 7, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Stephen W. and Louise Taylor. Charlotte was born October 31, 1941 in High Point, North Carolina. She attended the public schools of Portland, Oregon where her parents moved when she was six years old. She was a 1964 graduate of Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.

On June 24, 1967, she wed Richard Barnhardt Alexander who survives her. This union was blessed with two children. Her life will be cherished by Steven Craig (Lisa) Alexander of Durham, North Carolina and Christine Diane (Daniel) Ellis of Lookout Mountain, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and sister, Beryl Ann (David) Heusser of Independence, Oregon.

Charlotte had a God-given gift for serving children which she used as a Sunday school teacher of young folks at her church, as an employee at KinderCare Learning Center, and as an assistant kindergarten teacher at Lynn Road Elementary School, all in Raleigh.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on September 14, 2019, Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC preceded by a visitation at 9:30 AM. A graveside commitment service will follow at 3:00 PM at Floral Gardens Memorial Park in High Point, NC.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the 3:21 Initiative fund at Calvary Presbyterian Church, Raleigh,

Dick,
There are no words sufficient to encompass the hole that losing Charlotte will leave. Thanks for including us in the notification of her passing. The tribute and service for her was perfect. Tomorrow and in the days to come, try to remember that she is in the arms of Jesus and that our human grief is real. The people that attended the service will hold you in their prayers, so please know that you are not alone. May peace and comfort be yours.

I'll always remember your mom playing with her granddaughters and Jenna like she was one of the kids. She had the best sense of humor and really enjoyed her family!
