Sherry was a loving and generous big sister. As a teen, once she got her driver’s license, she would take me to the beach and to Burger King — a very special treat back then. She always had a big heart. She said yes in 1977 when Charlie and I asked her to marry us. It was short and sweet, and followed by dinner at a Japanese steakhouse. She objected that there wasn’t more fanfare! She will be missed dearly.

I'm a former co-worker from RDU and this comes as a huge shock to hear! Sherry was absolutely an amazing women, who always brought a smile to my face each time we spoke. She had a heart of gold and looked out for best interest of others when called upon. My deepest condolences to the family and know she will be dearly missed.

Sincerely,
Don Atkinson
