Notes

Anne Charette Sparks, age 67, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2017, after an extended illness.

Anne was born in Fitchburg MA and graduated from Williamsville (NY) High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Buffalo and later received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina. She worked for many years as a corporate attorney in Raleigh.

Anne is survived by her husband of 32 years, J. Donald Sparks of Raleigh NC; two daughters, USAF Captain Suzanne Sparks of Freeport FL and Rebecca Winegar of Englewood CO; one grandchild, Kimberly Duvall; two sisters, Jeanne Guastaferro of Canandaigua NY and Catherine Charette of Bloomfield NY; and two brothers, Mark Charette of Cancún MX and Daniel Charette of St. Petersburg FL.

Anne was predeceased by her parents, Armand and Claire (Croteau) Charette and her brother, Gregory Charette.

Anne was a kind individual who cared for her parents, her siblings, her husband, and her children. She performed admirably as an attorney, until she was no longer able to perform such work.

There will be an informal memorial service, open to family and friends, at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh NC on January 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Transitions LifeCare (formerly Hospice of Wake County), 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh NC 27607 https://transitionslifecare.org/donate/donate-now/ or to the Alzheimer’s Association.

I always enjoyed visiting my Aunt Claire and Uncle Armand and all my cousins. Anne and Jeanne were two of my favorite cousins because we were close in age and I got to see them a little more than the others. I looked up to them and wanted to be like them. I was always proud of my Charette cousins. R.I.P. Dear Anne! I will see you again one day.

YOU DID GOOD BY HER, SHE WAS VERY LUCKY TO HAVE SOMEONE WHO LOVED HER AS MUCH AS YOU DID. WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN HER BEFORE SHE PASSED.
