Notes

Beloved wife of Christopher Anthony Marr, mother of Kaiden Joseph, age 12, and Abigail Marie, age 9, of Raleigh, North Carolina. Daughter of Marjorie Reilly Smith and John Lewis Smith III (deceased), Washington, DC, sister of Angelique Chantal Jacobs, Bethesda; Madeline Smith Scoular, Naples, FL; Reilly Lewis Smith, Catonsville, MD.

A native of Washington, Marjorie was a graduate of Park School of Communications at Ithaca College. With 25 years marketing and sales management experience, her account relationships included Consultwebs, Ignite Social Media, Hearst Media, The Venture Group, Jewell-Osco, Pepsico, Allstate Arena, Daily Herald, Jiffy Lube, Seven-11, Walgreens, Target, McDonalds, Starbucks, Frito-Lay, Coca-Cola, Kraft, and Budweiser. She was known in the industry for product roll out, creative and collateral development.

Her proudest role, though, was that of wife to Christopher and mother to Kaiden and Abigail. She also worked in development at the children’s school, St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic School in Raleigh.

I worked for Marjorie years ago at one of my first jobs. She was such an amazing mentor, teacher and friend. So much of my future success was in large part due to all that I learned from her. My heart goes out to her family and close friends during this horrible time. - Devon

I lived in D.C. for about 3 years. Much of that time was spent enjoying the DC scene, laughing and sharing brunches at the Grubb with this gorgeous soul. My whole heart goes out to the family, and a piece of my heart will always have Marjorie in it.

Marjorie was a high school classmate and friend. She had an amazing laugh and was always the most glamorous person in the room. Above all, she was kind and generous. So sorry to hear of her passing. Kelly (Stanton) Fordon
