His love for the Lord was the driving force of his life. He was a member of the Church of the Apostles in Raleigh. He previously served as a deacon at Calvary Presbyterian Church, led bible study groups and enjoyed serving on mission trips with Crossroads Fellowship of Raleigh.

Prayers for Danny's wife and his extended family. Danny was a dear friend and brother in the Lord. We helped many singel friends move and even one woman's mom to down size. He had a real servant's heart. I remember his being injured on a bike ride to the beach but toughed it out hugging a pillow. He had cracked ribs-ouch! Hugs, you will be missed.

Danny would light up the room when he walked in. You knew the presence of The Lord was within him. He never spoke a harsh word about anyone. He was always willing to help in any way with a smile and a servant's heart, never expecting anything in return. Life seems to pass by so quickly, and friendships fall to the wayside. Yet, our love for Our Lord remains and by HIS promise, we will be together once again singing praises in Heaven. Peace be with you. <3 Denise & John Mathews

2 Timothy 4:7-8 ( ESV ) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

Those word were penned by the Apostle Paul almost 2,000 years ago but these words are alive, applied to you, and all who wait the comming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ
