Julie and I became friends in the 9th grade. Julie was very pretty and popular and I decided that I wanted to become her friend so I just marched up to her table at lunch one day and kinda asked her to be my friend!! I was quite shy and couldn't believe I was being so bold, but to my delight she said "of course" and asked me to sit down!! We were fast friends from that moment on!!

I remember Julie as such a wholesome and loving person!! She had such a big heart and reminded me of a hippie from the sixties!! I had never known anyone so sure of herself and her beliefs at the time. I really looked up to her!

I have so many wonderful memories of fun times together as teens and early adults. I was at her wedding under the beautiful Weeping Willows! Our high heels were sinking into the soft ground and we kept almost falling over! I remember the first time I saw Jennifer and thought she was the most beautiful little baby I had ever seen. Julie loved her so much and shared the raising of her with me. I loved Jennifer as if she was my own. Cook-outs, concerts, swimming parties, birthdays, road trips...we all shared them together!! I can still see her singing (not very well) and dancing!! We didn't have a lot back then but we had each other, good friends and good times.

Life sometimes take a turn and Julie and I went in different direction in our mid-twenties. We only saw each other once after that but we laughed and cried and forgave and everything was okay. After all, she was Julie, my best friend.

I am so very sad right now although I have not seen her in a long time. My heart is heavy with thoughts of her passing at such a young age. My age. I wish we could have kept in touch and I could have been a friend to her these last few years. But I cannot go back in time so I remember my free spirited friend and keep her in my heart until we meet again.

My sincere condolences to her family. Love and Peace to you all.

I remember Julie from way back. She was a cheerful and engaging young girl. She and her family came out west to go to Yellowstone Park with me and my family. Later, at BYU when we stopped for ice cream, Julie used her best southern voice to order, "I'll have a liiime sher'bet!" The clerk almost couldn't get over that, and Julie was wondering what the deal was! He clearly wasn't used to a southern drawl.
I wish happiness for Julie's children. After all, children are our crowning glory. May there be peace and rest for Julie and for all her family.
